It all began...
in a campground...
far, far, away.....
After a lifetime
of camping in a tent..
as an experiment...
just in case the weather broke bad,
I could hunker down in the trailer.
My
last night on the first trip... winds were scheduled to blow
20-30 knots
with heavy down pours.
So I hunkered down that night in the trailer... and
I thought...
hmmm... I like this.
After many Youtubes,
and internet searches...
A break through was reached when I discovered
shed/playhouse
windows with tempered glass for $40.
And then the real modifications
began.
This first picture
is from the first trip no modifications.
Just a $20 piece of cut plywood
for a bed on top of
storage bins.
Just
about everything from this point, the hinges, the wood, the carpet,
etc I
already had... from dumpster dives, or other projects.
Even this foam insulation
was scrapped from a construction site.
What a pleasue it was to reuse this
styrofoam, because otherwise
it is not recyclable.
The next
picture shows just "some" of the modifications installed.
A typical
"campsite" with popup canopy showing airconditioner on backdoor.
Airconditioner
and... oh well... an over the air tv antenna.
Many
more small mods...
just too numerous...
there are many examples on the internet.
You don't really know what will
work and won't... and
there are things you don't know until you get it into
practise.
Even a trial run in the driveway overnight will give you ideas
you
wouldn't have thought of until real time experience.
Get out there...
just do it...
Tightlines, keep the sun on your face and the
wind at your
back.
